FA Cup 1st Round Draw

The Poppies reward for reaching the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time since 2011 is a trip to Sixfields and a Northamptonshire Derby against Northampton Town.

It will be the first time the two club have met in a competitive fixture since 1989 when The Cobblers won 1-0 at Rockingham Road in another FA Cup first round tie. The winning goal that afternoon was scored by Dean Thomas who would of course go on to manage The Poppies.
