Finley Wilkinson has arrived at Latimer Park on loan from Barnet

Following yesterday's shock news that Isiah Noel-Williams had departed Latimer Park to join Matlock Town Poppies boss Richard Lavery has moved quickly to bring in 22 year old attacking midfielder Finley Wilkinson on loan from National League leaders Barnet.

Wilkinson began his career in Ipswich Town's youth academy before joining Histon. In August 2022 Finley signed for Hitchin Town and went on to make 58 appearances for The Canaries scoring 22 goals. He played three times against The Poppies last season for Hitchin scoring the third goal in the 4-0 win against Kettering at Latimer Park last September.

His strong performances at Hitchin saw him snapped up by Barnet and he has made five appearances for  The Bees this season. Finley has had loan spells this season with Braintree Town (8 games, 1 Goal), St Albans City (3 games) and Chelmsford City (12 games 2 goals). His last game was last Saturday for Chelmsford against Dorking Wanderers.
