AFC Sudbury match preview

KETTERING TOWN v AFC SUDBURY - SATURDAY OCTOBER 19th - LATIMER PARK

Kettering Town welcome AFC Sudbury to Latimer Park on Saturday looking to record their fifth consecutive league victory. Tuesday night's 2-1 victory away at Bromsgrove Sporting saw Richard Lavery's side move back up to second place in the league table one point behind leaders Bedford Town.

The Poppies will be without captain Connor Johnson who will be serving a one match ban after he picked up his firth yellow card of the season last Saturday at Farsley Celtic. Lewis White who missed out at Bromsgrove with a slight injury should be back to replace Johnson. Top scorer Nile Ranger will face a fitness check after being withdrawn at half-time on Tuesday with a groin injury.

Jonny Edwards could replace Ranger after making a scoring debut on Saturday plus new signing Gary Hooper should also join the squad. Dan Jarvis and Kai Fifield still are not fit whilst Bruno Andrade serves the last of his three match suspension after being sent off in the FA Trophy defeat to Gainsborough Trinity.

A LOOK AT AFC SUDBURY

"The Suds" had a difficult first season in the Southern League Premier Central last season and only escaped relegation on the final day of the season. Last time out they recorded an impressive 2-1 victory away at Redditch United and recently enjoyed a fine 3-0 win over high flying Stamford. At the moment they are the highest scoring team in the division.
